DEFA Balancer is an intelligent dynamic load management device designed to optimise EV charging based on the available electrical capacity of a property. The unit measures current in real time on all three phases (L1, L2 and L3) and automatically adjusts charging power to prevent overload.

It is well suited for residential homes, apartment buildings and sites with multiple charging points where safe and efficient use of electrical capacity is essential.

How it works

DEFA Balancer continuously monitors the total electrical load of the building. When other electricity consumption increases, charging power is automatically reduced. When the load decreases, charging power is increased again. This helps avoid tripped main fuses and power interruptions.

Installation and operation
